We all need some extra TLC these days. Is there anything more comforting than a soft, gooey peanut butter and jelly sandwich? Whether you’re 4 or 40, it’s always a treat to find this classic on your plate. Check out how these local restaurants are putting a spin on PB&J, and even a couple you can make at home.
The Butchery
The Butchery is a premier butcher shop and gourmet grocer. And their deli serves one mean PB&J. The classic gets elevated with pepper jam and a stack of smokey bacon, sandwiched between peanut butter and honey on fresh ciabatta bread. The Butchery is offering pickup and curbside service at all locations and you can stock up on their meat and grocery staples too. Pick up some of their Salmon Creek Farms thick-sliced bacon for this recipe.

Blackmarket Bakery
Chef Rachel Klemek may have won the cake episode of Food Network’s “Chopped Sweets Showdown!” but she knows a thing or two about sandwiches too. Blackmarket Bakery offers a daily selection of fresh sammies and their Über PBJ is not to be missed. Fresh peanut butter, chunky mixed berry jam, toasted almonds and fresh berries get spread on toasted sunflower sourdough for a sweet and nutty combo. Blackmarket is offering takeout and curbside pickup at this location. Some menu items are available for delivery via Postmates and DoorDash.

Jamba Juice
Elvis is said to have enjoyed the occasional peanut butter and banana sandwich. Jamba Juice creates a healthy version with peanut butter, bananas, honey, blueberries and chia seeds on seeded multigrain toast. Trust us when we say it’s a “hunk of burning love.” It pairs perfectly with the Whirl’d Famous peanut butter and banana protein smoothie. You can order takeout from the store or use the Jamba Juice app or website to order delivery.
