Puffy Paint Starfish Craft

Parenting OC presents "Summer Crafts with The Little Red Schoolhouse," an educational craft series that you can do at home with you kids!

Craft Supplies

  1. Cardboard, or cereal box
  2. Scissors
  3. Glue
  4. Shaving cream
  5. Paint, variety of colors
  6. Paint brush
  7. Sand or Pastina pasta

Instructions

Step 1: Trace a sea star with five rays onto a piece of cardboard or cereal box.
Step 2: Cut the sea star out.
Step 3: Put equal parts shaving cream and glue into a bowl and mix about 1/4 cup of each.
Step 4: Add one good squirt of your choice of acrylic paint and mix color.
Step 5: With a paint brush, paint your sea star!
Step 6: Sprinkle with coarse sand or Pastina pasta to add texture
