Q: How do I nominate my favorites for the Readers’ Choice Awards?
A: Using our online form, you can write in your favorite family-friendly businesses, places, and activities. Please make sure to nominate once per category.
Q: Do I need to add nominations to 60 categories for my nominations to count??
A: You do not. However, only readers with at least 60 nominations and (during the voting phase) at least 60 votes will be eligible to win the Newport Dunes prize.
Voting Stage July 7-17, 2024
Q: When will I be able to vote for the winner?
A: Once nominations are fact checked and counted up, the top nominees will advance to the voting round. You can then vote for your favorites from the list of top nominees to determine the final winners. Please make sure to vote once per category. And don’t forget the voting form must have at least 60 categories filled out in order to qualify for the Newport Dunes prize.
Q: How are the winners selected?
A: Once the votes are all tallied, those with the most votes will be the winners, and they will be announced and celebrated!
Q: What is an Editor’s Choice Award?
A: Our staff also picks a select few that were not the top votegetters by the readers, those that may not be the most popular, but ones we consider the best of the best in OC. We call these Editor’s Choice winners.

A: We will celebrate the Readers’ Choice and Editor’s Choice winners both online and in our Readers’ Choice Special Issue, highlighting all the exceptional family-friendly options that make our community the best place to live and raise a family. This magazine comes out in September!
