The free skatepark has more than 35,000 square feet of rails, stair sets, rollers, bowls, gaps and more for local skaters to explore and work on their skills, making it one of the favorite attractions for our readers. The park is open every day, weather permitting. There is no skateboarding on Wednesdays, which is designated for BMX riders.

Best Storytelling Time

Huntington Beach Public Library

It’s never too early to join storytime at Huntington Beach Library, which has a regular, 30-minute Baby & Me program with songs and activities for kids up to 18 months old. Storytime for older children (pre-kindergarten through third grade) is a one-hour session that includes stories as well as crafts. There’s also a Wise Owl Tween Club that meets every month.
