A new dance studio has opened in South Orange County. Owner and mother of two Amanda Cobb teaches ballet, hip-hop, jazz dancing, modern, gymnastics and more at Ballet Academy and Movement (BAM). Cobb’s love of teaching, coupled with the lack of quality training due to the COVID-19 shutdowns, drove her to open her own teaching facility. The location is complete with three full-size, mirrored rooms as well as a workout room and strength-training area. Cobb’s dance experience includes moving to Chicago and then New York as a teenager to learn and train from luminaries in the fields of jazz dance and ballet, including with the School of American Ballet. She then earned professional positions at the Ohio Ballet, American Ballet Theatre and The Washington Ballet. After her career was cut short by a torn ACL, Cobb realized she wanted to give back and teach. Cobb also works with athletes who are rehabilitating from injury as well as sports teams, cheer groups and general exercise clients through Pilates and stretch classes. BAM’s studio is located in San Clemente. Grounded in Cobb’s purpose to teach the diversity of movement, classes are open to everyone from young kids to professional dancers.

Rad Beer

Established by the partners behind Rad Brat, brewery and tasting room concept Rad Beer Co. has made its debut in Anaheim. Rad Beer is housed in a 4,550-square-foot space with a tasting room that showcases a vibrant, floor-to-ceiling mural by a California-born artist, adding to the aesthetic of a ‘90s skate shop while celebrating the Anaheim community. Catch all the big sports games on the video wall featuring a 10-by-6-foot projected image. The Rad Red state-of-the-art draft beer system includes room for 20 handles of fresh hops brewed onsite or to-go, with options like German Pilsner, Mexican-style Lager, West Coast IPA, Double West Coast IPA and a Hazy IPA, crafted by partner, head brewer and California native Dylan Mobley.

The newest Puesto is situated in the heart of the Anaheim Resort District, adjacent to the Anaheim Convention Center and across from the Disneyland Resort. The 7,000-square-foot space includes unique decor including a wall projection crafted by designer Paul Basile of Basile Studio. The new, family-friendly restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner.
