Parenting OC returns to Discovery Cube with its Kids’ Summer Opportunities Jamboree event. This is the fifth year the iconic Orange County family destination has partnered with Parenting OC to host the summer-fun planning extravaganza. From 10 am-3 pm, this free event presents a broad lineup of exhibitors (many new this year) featuring family travel destination spots, summer camps, and school information, as well as having games and special guests. Other exhibitors include private schools, day camps, sports leagues and clinics, horse and cattle ranches, surf camps, family fun attractions, special needs programs, preschools, outdoor adventure, and science and technology. It’s a great way to get your summer plans in order.

Disneyland After Dark: PIXAR Nite
Thursday, March 5
Party with your Pixar pals tonight at California Adventure from 8 pm to midnight. The evening offers three interactive dance parties with Pixar, Incredibles and Monsters, Inc. being the individual themes. Guests will get after-hours access to attractions, special keepsakes and character meet-and-greets. 49th Annual Dana Point Festival of Whales
March 7-8, 14-15
From sand sculpting, stand-up paddling and a dinghy dash to classic car shows, eco-carnival and live music — there is something for all ages and all interests at this double weekend festival. The traditional parade kicks off the festivities at 10 am on the 7th and there is whale watching every day.

Steve Winter: On the Trail of Big Cats

Award-winning photographer Steve Winter has tracked cats around the globe, from snow leopards in India’s Himalayas to jaguars in Latin American jungles, and cougars in the Southern Californian hills. Listen tonight to the dangers he has faced on assignment and his work to save these big cats. This 8 pm show probably is best suited for tweens and older.
