Festive fun awaits families at Discovery Cube OC.
Discovery Cube Orange County is ushering in the holiday season with the brand-new Holidays at the Cube from Nov. 18 to Jan. 7. Holidays at the Cube is a festive extravaganza that celebrates science, creativity and joy for the whole family. This year’s much-anticipated event will feature family favorites like the largest gingerbread competition in Southern California — Science of Gingerbread, as well as the return of Broadway-inspired “Winter Lights” theatrical show and indoor holiday festival.

Science of Gingerbread is a beloved highlight of Discovery Cube’s holiday festivities starting Nov. 18 until Jan. 7. It seamlessly blends the holiday spirit with the principles of science, creating an engaging and interactive experience. As visitors explore the one-of-a-kind skillfully creative gingerbread creations, they discover the scientific principles behind the creation of gingerbread houses and the chemistry involved in baking delicious treats. From the molecular structure of sugar to the physics of construction, Science of Gingerbread provides an engaging learning opportunity in a festive setting.
The auroras are back in OC with the return of “Winter Lights” — a holiday musical showing on select dates between Dec. 15 to Jan. 7. Created by Discovery Cube, in partnership with the Tony Award-winning production team, Apples & Oranges Studios, “Winter Lights” magically weaves together an enchanting story of family through the eyes of a tenacious young girl who wants to make the world a better place. The show brings to life unique characters, including a science fairy and a lovable robot crafted from a toaster. Set against the backdrop of the Aurora Borealis, the show blends hope, resilience and the magic of discovery. With Pamela Winslow Kashani, a Tony Award-winning Broadway veteran, bringing her musical talent, each song explodes with joy and emotion, resonating with audiences of all ages.
