North OC
Bunny Hop
Westminster will have you hopping to keep up its Bunny Hops activities. The city will host these festive spring events at its four city parks. Hops happen at Gillespie Park (10 am-11:30 am) and Liberty Park (1 pm-2:30 pm) on March 23 and Bolsa Chica Park (10 am-11:30 am) and Sigler Park (1 pm-2:30 pm) on the 30th. No matter the location, all the Hops will feature spring crafts, fun activities, treats and an egg hunt.
Egg Night & Eggstravaganza Morning
La Habra’s Easter adventures begin March 29 with Egg Night in La Bonita Park (7 pm-8 pm) for youths (ages 7-13). Bring a basket and a flashlight (and parents can only observe). The park hosts the Spring Family Eggstravaganza (https://lahabraca.gov/675/Spring-Family-Eggstravaganza) on the 30th (8 am-12 pm), featuring inflatables, game and craft booths, a pancake breakfast and the Children’s Museum Mobile Museum. Purchase activity wristbands at the Community Center.
Flashlight Egg Hunt & The Egg-Citement Hunt
Egg Hunts are a night and day affair in Yorba Linda’s Hurless Barton Park. On March 29 (7:30 pm-8:30 pm), youths (ages 7-13) can participate in an after-dark Flashlight Egg Hunt. Then on March 30, younger kids (ages 1-9) can do the Egg-Citement Hunt (10 am-12 pm), which has age-specific hunt zones (no registration required) as well as crafts, games, a petting zoo and a special bunny visit.
Buena Park’s Spring Eggstravaganza
Pancakes and eggs are on the menu at Boisseranc Park on March 30. A pancake breakfast starts at 8 am with the free Eggstravaganza commencing at 9 am. Attractions include bounce houses, a petting zoo, train rides, games, crafts, entertainment and photo opportunities on the OCFA fire truck, SEAACA vehicles and Care Ambulance vehicles. Bring a basket for the Candy Hunt, which starts at 12 pm and is divided into five age categories.
Cypress Spring Egg Hunt
Experience a merry morning of egg hunting at Oak Knoll Park on March 30 from 9 am-12 pm. The hunts start at 10:30 am for 3-5-year-olds, 11 am for 6-7-year-olds and 11:30 am for 8-11-year-olds. Photos with the bunny begin at 9 am, and there will be crafts, games and local vendors too. Pre-registration is required at https://secure.rec1.com/CA/cypress-recreation-community-services/catalog/.
FV Egg Hunt
Fountain Valley’s Egg Hunts start rolling early (8:30 am) and rolling continuously (through 11 am — or until the eggs run out) on March 30 at the city’s Center & Sports Park. Please be aware that the eggs are limited to five per person. The festive morning event (which actually occurs 8 am-11:30 am) also serves up free carnival games, inflatables, prizes, a pancake breakfast and more amusements.
Atlantis Play Center Eggscavation
On March 30, you can discover egg hunts and other fun stuff at the Atlantis Play Center from 2 pm-5 pm. A petting zoo, inflatable obstacle courses, glitter tattoos, carnival games, balloon twisters, train rides and crafts are among the afternoon attractions. Food will be available for purchase too. Egg Hunts take place between 3 pm-4:30 pm in four age-based categories for kids ages 2-10. Go to https://ggcity.org/eggscavation for required pre-registration.
Los Alamitos’s Spring Carnival
Don’t be shocked to see a big cottontail hopping around Little Cottonwood Park on March 30. It will only be Peter the Rabbit, who will be there visiting the Spring Carnival and will be available for photo opportunities. The carnival, which is open between 9:30 am-12 pm, will also have live music, craft activities, inflatable jumpers, food vendors and a large egg hunt area.
Easter Hunt Family Fun Day
The city of Huntington Beach and the Kiwanis of Huntington Beach are teaming up again for this free annual event. On March 30 (8:30 am-3 pm), HB’s Sports Complex is the spot for live music, food vendors, a public official dunk tank and more. Not only will there be multiple age-based egg hunts for kids (ages 10 and younger), but there’ll be egg hunts specifically for children with disabilities and visually impaired youngsters too.
Stanton’s Easter Egg Hunt
Stanton’s Central Park is the center for the city’s Easter celebration. Head there on March 30 (9 am-11 am) to experience egg hunts for a range of ages. The morning attractions will also contain Blue Ribbon month activities, an informational resource fair and a highly anticipated appearance from the one and only Easter bunny. So bring a camera along with an Easter egg basket.
Central OC
Irvine Park Railroad Easter Eggstravaganza
The Irvine Park’s Easter Eggstravaganza lives up to its name as it runs from March 2-30 and offers Easter bunny photos, Easter craft corners, games like the Egg Basket Toss and over a half-dozen, age-timed egg hunts per day. Train rides, moon bounce, cookie-decorating and hayrides are among other activities. The attractions require purchasing tickets, but admission is free. Hours are 10 am-6 pm weekdays and 8 am-6 pm weekends.
Easter Egg Hunt at Heritage Museum
Hop over to the Heritage Museum on March 24 to experience its annual free community event. You can get a photo with the Easter bunny, check out the selection of community craft and food vendors, and perhaps win a raffle prize. The main event, of course, is the Egg Hunt, which is divided by various age groups.
SpringFest — A Pirate Adventure
The roar you’ll hear coming from Costa Mesa’s Lions Park on March 30 will be the sound of kids prowling the park’s Event Lawn for Easter eggs. SpringFest, however, holds all types of amusements: live entertainment, games, music, arm painting and (fitting with its pirate theme) Pirate bunny photos. SpringFest runs from 10 am-2 pm with the first of five age-based Egg Hunts starting at 10:30 am and the final one at 12:45 pm.
Santa Ana’s EGG-cellent Adventure
This EGG-cellent Adventure returns on March 30 for year number two in Centennial Park. From 9 am-1 pm, families can experience all types of fun adventures, such as live entertainment and inflatables. From 9:30 am-11:30 am, a pancake breakfast is available for purchase. Beginning at noon, there will be four age-related egg hunt areas for kids (ages 10 and younger) along with one therapeutic needs area.
Egg-citement in Costa Mesa
You’ll find plenty of “egg-citement” at Costa Mesa’s Tanager Park on March 30 with the return of this annual Easter holiday event. Sponsored again by Torelli Realty, this family-focused activity, which will take place from 9 am-12 pm, offers opportunities to get a photograph with the Easter bunny as well as gather up goodies in an egg hunt. Plus, you can get your face painted too.
Silverado Firefighter’s Easter Pancake Breakfast
For over 60 years, the Silverado Fire Department serves up a fabulous pancake breakfast on Easter morning. From 7 am-12 pm, folks can indulge in pancakes, sausage and scrambled eggs at the Silverado Community Center. Tickets will be sold onsite. But there is more to the morning than breakfast! And yes, there is an egg hunt for kids too. It will kick off at 9:30 am.

Playschool’s Eggstravaganza
Little ones can have some big-time fun hunting for Easter eggs in San Clemente’s Tierra Grande Park on March 22. Bring a basket (and your camera) for this egg “scramble.” The morning’s activities (from 10:30 am-12 pm) also feature games, dancing and crafts (including dyeing and decorating eggs). Corona Del Mar’s Egg Hunt
Now in its third year, this egg-citing egg hunt will fill Grant Howard Park with egg-static children (and accompanying adults) from 10 am-1 pm on March 23. Bring a basket, bring the family and your friends and enjoy a memorable day filled with lively fun and community spirit hosted by the local real estate firm, the Canaday Group.
Egg-A-Pool-Looza
Irvine’s William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center hosts this unusual eggs-perience on March 23 (2 pm-5 pm). An egg hunt will be held poolside and grouped by age. The afternoon also offers Easter bunny photos, spring crafts and games, bounce houses and a family splash time. Lifeguards will be on duty; however, an adult must accompany children (6 and younger) when they’re in the water.
Bunny Blast Eggstravaganza
Families are invited to have a blast at Lake Forest’s Bunny Blast, which will land in El Toro Park on March 23 (11 am-2 pm). Kids of all ages can enjoy the selection of game booths, rides, music and other amusements. Please note: There is a limit of 1,000 participants for the egg hunts and wristbands can be purchased at the city’s Recreation Center.
Dana Point Easter Egg Hunts
Dana Point doubles down on its Easter egg-citement by hosting two Egg Hunts on March 30. One at Pines Park and the other is Sea Canyon Park. These twin events both feature pancake breakfasts from 8 am-11 am (proceeds go to charities). They also offer Easter Bunny appearances from 9 am-10 am and magic shows from 9 am-9:45 am, with the Egg Hunts (for ages up to 10) happening promptly at 10 am.
Sensational Springtacular & SPLASHtacular
San Clemente is hosting multiple spring spectaculars on March 30. Vista Hermosa is home to the Sensational Springtacular and Summer Camp Palooza Park (9 am-12 pm), with bunny visits, music, carnival games, crafts, summer camp discounts and (between 10 am-11 am) egg hunts for ages 1 and up. Afterward, the Aquatics Center hosts The SPLASHtacular (12 pm-4 pm), featuring underwater egg hunts, the Snorkel Bunny and inflatables. San Juan Capistrano’s Spring Eggstravaganza
What can you expect at this Spring Eggstravaganza? How about free photos with the Easter bunny, a marionette show, face-painting and complimentary hot dogs? But that’s not all! It wouldn’t be an Eggstravaganza without egg hunts, right? All of these springtime activities can be found in San Juan Capistrano’s Los Rios Park on March 30 from 10 am-12 pm.
