Family, Fun and Fine Arts
The annual Laguna Beach Festival of Arts invites families of all ages to indulge in the arts through hands-on activities and art projects that they can all participate in together. The festival presents its weekly Art and Story Time series every Monday for children ages 5 and under, which features a different book read aloud plus a hands-on art project. There may even be special surprise visits from illustrators, story characters, and more.
The festival also presents Family Art Day on Sunday, July 8, which is a fun-filled, art-filled and enchantment-filled day that the kids are sure to remember for years to come. Upon arrival, kids will receive a booklet full of coupons redeemable for special activities and treats. They can also participate in “Art Quest,” an art exhibit treasure hunt where they will answer kid-friendly questions by investigating various exhibits throughout the grounds. Families can also enjoy Le PeTit Cirque, an all-children cirque show!

Children ages 5 and under receive free admission all summer to the festival.

Movie Nights in The Backyard Series
Doors open at 6 p.m. with movies starting at dusk.
The fourth annual series will present “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” on July 6th and “Black Panther” on Aug. 31st. Round up the family or plan a fun date night to cozy up under the stars on Hotel Irvine’s outdoor lawn. DJ will hit the decks in The Backyard at 6 p.m.

‘School of Rock’

The rock Broadway musical “School of Rock,” based on the hit film, features new songs by the renowned Andrew Lloyd Webber, including the original songs from the movie. Inspire your kids with this comical story about a wannabe rock star posing as a substitute teacher who turns his students into rockers; with the young actors playing their instruments live on stage.

Newport Beach Summer Concert Series

OC’s summer gem: this 12-week concert series, which features a gorgeous backdrop of Newport Back Bay, live performances by top artists, drinks, food, dancing, and more. The series will present a stunning lineup that includes Leann Rimes, Peter Cetera, Chaka Khan, and Chris Botti.

128th OC Fair

The OC Fair wants you to “Free Your Inner Farmer” this summer. There’s certainly a bumper crop of fun to harvest. You can enjoy carnival rides and games, live performances, action sports events, agricultural demonstrations, and animal competitions. Among the new attractions are the Selfie Pop-Up Museum and Daredevils & Wheels stunt show.
