The Bronze Quail Restaurant & Bar is now open at the Hotel Fullerton. The restaurant offers an a la carte menu focusing on progressive American dishes, fresh seasonal ingredients and unique culinary techniques.
Executive Chef Mark Piepkorn’s menu includes the option of a six-course Chef’s Tasting Menu, with optional wine pairings. You can also find the Winter Vegetable Casserole with assorted winter vegetables, black garlic panisse and piquillo pepper rouille, and the Bronze Quail with a seasonal stuffing, carrots three ways and barley porridge croquette, along with other exclusive twists on familiar dishes.
The lavish menu continues into the bar where Bar Director Steven Hayden works his magic on craft cocktails. Hayden currently offers more than 30 signature drinks on his menu.
The beverages include a selection of aperitifs and intricate Shaken Not Stirred cocktails that highlight Hayden’s creativity, as well as takes on classic cocktails; Spirit Forward drinks that feature house-made bitters and are served over hand-carved ice or straight up; and nearly a dozen Old Fashioned variations, served with the appropriate citrus peels and house-made bitters.

SOCO + The OC Mix’s Kids Club
SOCO + The OC Mix has launched a new monthly Kids Club taking place outside of The OC Mix (exiting the doors closest to Portola) in the newly renovated breezeway space next to BoConcept on the third Wednesday of each month. This all-new Kids Club invites families with children ages 6 months and up to take part in various creative and hands-on activities each month.
This fun and interactive program led by Kids Club Coordinator Stephanie Holdridge was launched on Jan. 15 at 10 a.m., when there was a live reading of “Tacky the Penguin” along with an interactive craft where little ones made their own adorable penguin.
Every event will offer a live story reading, music and dancing, and a fun craft. The Kids Club is a place where kids can enjoy an hour of books and fun activities while making new and long-lasting friends.
Families will also have a chance to enjoy a number of discounts from participating SOCO + The OC Mix retailers. Get updates at socoandtheocmix.com.
