Pick of the Month
The OC Fair

Don’t let the summer pass you by without a visit to the OC Fair. With a theme of “Free Your Inner Farmer” this year, it’s the perfect time to teach your little ones more about agriculture. Wander over to Centennial Farm for photos of the adorable baby piglets and the energetic goats. Also, among the new attractions are the Selfie Pop-Up Museum and the nerve-wracking Daredevils & Wheels stunt show. And of course, there’s carnival rides and games, live performances, action sports events, agricultural demonstrations and animal competitions. You definitely don’t want to miss the creatively fried food, sweets and other vendors you’ll only find at the fair. The 128th OC Fair hours are 12 pm-12 am Wednesday-Friday, 11 am-12 am Saturday-Sunday, Aug. 1-Aug. 12.

Pageant Of The Masters
Wednesday, Aug. 1-Saturday, Sept. 1

“Under the Sun” is the theme for this long-running, highly popular event in the Laguna Beach’s Festival of Arts, Aug. 1-Sept. 1 starting at 8:30 pm. A unique theatrical experience, the 90-minute performance creates tableaux vivants (“living pictures”) using real actors to “bring to life” well-known works of art. The production also features live orchestral music, narration and elaborate stage design.

“Dinosaurs Around The World” Exhibit
Wednesday, Aug. 1-Monday, Sept. 3

We know dinosaurs walked the earth, but exactly where? This exhibit, running Aug. 1-Sept. 3 from 10 am–5 pm, uses cutting-edge research, advanced animatronics and immersive design to show where dinosaurs lived during the Age of Reptiles. Museum-goers can also learn about geology, geography and climatology of that era. Also, the Cube’s Rainforest exhibit remains standing through Sept. 9.
