Mother’s Day Celebration

There will be no pretending at Pretend City – their activities for this May 11 event (12 pm-2 pm) will demonstrate all the goodness and happiness that mothers bring into our lives. The museum’s “play partner” for the day is Southern California-based writer Vilayvanh Bender, who is the author of the book Mommy Eats Fried Grasshoppers (a story that contrasts her life growing up in Laos with her daughter’s life growing up in the U.S.).
