For the 42nd year, the Ocean Institute salutes nautical life over the weekend of September 11-13. Activities include mermaid swim shows (plus mermaid meet-and-greets), sailor reenactors, a pirate-themed School for Scallywags, cannon battles, tall ships, kids’ activities and more activities for all ages. The main action happens 3:30 pm-7:30 pm (Friday) 8:45 am-7:30 pm (Saturday-Sunday). All of the weekend’s proceeds go directly back into OI’s operations and mission. maritime-fest.org
