The Goods on the Goody Bag: Each girl got to pick a light up toy, as well as a ring or bracelet.

“We walked the fake red carpet and were welcomed by the king and princess. Then we went inside and had slushies and shopped for our trinkets while we waited for the show to start. They announced the show is starting and we went to our seats in the front row of the green knight’s section. We were served quickly and the kids actually enjoyed the food! The show was fun, and I was surprised when our Knight won and he threw the rose to one of my girls. He then proceeded to win four more times and gave every girl in our party a rose and won the tournament banner!”

Medieval Times Queen

The Queen Has Spoken

There is a new ruler of the royal kingdom at Medieval Times in Buena Park, and she is already making history.

For the first time in the iconic family entertainment company’s 34-year history of having a king as the sole ruler of the kingdom, a female character will debut as the royal ruler of the tournament. Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament in Buena Park introduced the new queen on March 16, after receiving an abundance of feedback from guests on the roles that women play in the fantasy storytelling production.

Medieval Times described the new queen character as a firm, but kind, ruler who inherited the throne after the passing of her father, the previous king. Guests can visit the company now to see the new queen rule the tournament.

“Our new female queen is a sign of the times and we couldn’t be more excited to bring her to Southern California,” said Pedro Goite, Medieval Times Buena Park General Manager. “Historically, female characters have held strong supporting roles in our production, but now we are showing a woman in charge who is respected throughout the kingdom for her authority, leadership and incredible strength. And she definitely rises to the occasion.”

Tickets for the dinner and show start at $36.95. Visit www.medievaltimes.com
