The new Korean dessert hotspot, Mealtop, includes a variety of sweet treats like the sweet and icy bingsoo, Korean lattes, sweet rice cake toast called injeolmi, and other popular Korean pastries. The popular bingsoo is made of traditional ingredients including soft “snow” ice, braised red beans, chewy rice cakes and sweetened condensed milk. The desserts are made from scratch and the ingredients are selected and combined to create “luxury bingsoo.” This new, sweet cafe within The Source OC shopping center in Buena Park offers a glimpse into Korean culture through these yummy confections. Mealtop’s CEO Joon Baek said that her life’s goal is “to create the proper representation of Korean food and culture in Southern California starting with Mealtop, then beyond.”
