The fast-casual Cultivation Kitchen, is now open at Farmers Park, next door to the Anaheim Packing District. The restaurant, located within a greenhouse, aims to introduce “shovel-to-fork cuisine” to the community. Menus by Executive Chef Joshua Korn are dedicated to healthy, organic options that accommodate gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan individuals. And its isn’t just the menu that’s green. Cultivation has also partnered with Shadetree Partnership, a non-profit tree-planting organization, to offset its electricity and gas carbon footprint. The restaurant is completely cashless and gratuity is built in to the prices so there is no need to tip. One percent of the restaurant’s net profit will be donated to local charities annually along with any tips. They are open for dinner service 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily with plans to open for breakfast and lunch service soon.

SOCIAL Restaurant Group will expand with a second location in Huntington Beach this summer in the space formerly occupied by SeaSalt Grill. Chef Jeffrey Boullt, who served as executive chef at SOCIAL Costa Mesa when it opened back in 2013, returns to take the helm as corporate executive chef. The beverage program will be manned by Bar Director Grayson Diercksmeier. Like its predecessor, SOCIAL Huntington Beach will offer new-American, chef-driven and ingredient-focused dinner, brunch and cocktail menus.
