Smoothie Moves

Published August 2, 2016Admin Only:

Oh What a Beautiful Morning!

smoothie

You probably knew smoothies could be a quick and easy start to your morning (especially once school kicks in and things get hectic), but did you know the superfoods you can stash in these yummy breakfast shakes can help you look gorge

This Radiant Hair Smoothie by Philosophie founder (and nutrition guru to stars like George Clooney), Sophie Jaffe, will make your locks luxe and offer a satisfying start to the day.

Coconut Bliss Coconut Butter helps hydrate those strands, and packs a punch of Vitamin C which helps build collagen and promotes overall hair strength. The addition of tocotrienols also bumps up the Vitamin E, which has been shown to help restore hair growth (you heard that, post-natal mamas!)

ingredients

Gather This:

  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup of spinach
  • ¾ cup nut milk
  • ½ cup blueberries
  • ¼ avocado
  • 2 tablespoons Sun Potion Tocos
  • 1 tablespoon Coconut Bliss
  • 1 tablespoon Green Dream Superfood + Protein Blend
  • 1 tablespoon Berry Bliss Superfood + Protein Blend
  • a pinch of cinnamon
  • ice

Do This:

Toss all ingredients into a blender, and pulse until combined. Add more ice or nut milk as needed. Top with extra blueberries if you’d like. Enjoy!

Daily Harvest Smoothie Subscription

Each week, choose from 14 organic fruit and superfood-packed combos. Frozen cups filled with everything you need to make a primo smoothie arrives on your doorstep. All you need to add is your choice of liquid and blend. (We love the Acai and Cherry or the Carrot and Chia Glow!)

Rebel Mylk

Rebel Mylk

Tossing together a smoothie is pretty easy. Add some fruit to taste, perhaps granola or a handful of almonds for substance, and liquid for texture. But when it comes to the liquid base, not everyone craving a creamy smoothie can opt for milk or yogurt. These creamy coconut “mylks” are a great hack for non-dairy drinkers. (The small size fits well in a lunchbox if you need an extra punch of protein for your kiddo.)

INVO Coconut Water

INVO Coconut Water

Another option to bypass the sugar loaded juice base are these coconut water bevvies, some already mixed with a dose of healthy superfood ingredients. Blend the Sencha Green Tea flavor with a banana, cup of spinach leaves, pear and ice. Or just grab a bottle for a simple rushing-out-the-door for dropoff hit of healthy yum with five essential electrolytes and as much potassium as a banana.
