‘Tis the season for cozy drinks, and nothing says “holiday magic” like a warm mug of homemade peppermint hot chocolate. This stove-top version is naturally sweetened and dairy-free, with double the chocolate and peppermint, of course! Rich, creamy, and indulgent, it’s the perfect treat for both parents and kiddos alike. Hot cocoa has been warming hearts for centuries—its origins trace back to the ancientAztecs, who believed the drink had mystical powers. For me, this recipe holds a special place in my heart:one Christmas, I was gifted a hot cocoa machine, and ever since then, I’ve associated this sweet drink with the joy and warmth of the holiday season. No fancy machine needed here, though—just a simple stove and a little holiday magic! So let’s get to it, little chefs!
