Learn & Grow 2019 is now over! A bit thank you to everyone who was a part of this year’s event! We are currently planning out Learn & Grow 2020, so please keep an eye out for more information to come!
In the fight against childhood diabetes and obesity, Parenting OC is hosting several Health Stations where general tests and examinations that cover all the bases for your child’s health will be conducted. And the best part is that all of these stations are for FREE!
Your child’s health matters above all others, take advantage of the free health screening event where your child can have a general check-up without having to drive down to the Doctor’s office!
Preregister for Parenting OC’s free event to be guaranteed a Learn & Grow swag bag! Just show us your Eventbrite ticket (on your phone or a print out) at the door. Only 1 ticket is necessary per group, and swag bags are limited to 1 bag per group/family.
What Is a Health Screening?
The Health Screenings taking place at the Learn & Grow Expo are several stations/booths where medical professionals from various clinics and organizations conduct general exams and screenings for children’s basic medical needs.
Your child can have these areas of their health screened at the event:
- Dental Health
- Developmental Health
- Height & Weight
- Hearing & Speech and more will all be covered at the Health Screening event, and your child’s information will be listed down for your records!

CSUF Speech & Hearing Department
Speech and hearing is extremely important during children’s formative years. It affects not only the way children speak and enunciate but can also affect reading. CSUF’s incredible team will be conducting minor tests on attendees to determine hearing levels and the level of speech development.

Stanbridge University:
Stanbridge University is back for another incredible year of spreading the word about the importance of proper height & weight and blood pressure measurements. Stanbridge will be hosting two booths, one where your child’s blood pressure will be taken, and another where current height and weight can be determined.
Healthy Smiles
The general health of your child’s teeth affects major aspects of their overall health, including how they are developing physically. Healthy Smiles will be conducting general examinations during our expo, and will provide information on proper dental hygiene, so that your child’s dental growth is developing correctly.
Help Me Grow
A child’s development can be measured by how a child learns, speaks, moves, behaves and relates. Skills such as smiling, waving, talking & walking are developmental milestones, and indicate how well your child is learning and adapting to the world. Help Me Grow is dedicated to measuring these developmental signals and ensuring that your child is on track for their age range.
Upon entering the Learn & Grow Expo event in the Exhibitor Hall of the Discovery Cube, your child will receive a Health Passport sheet. This sheet will have the information for our health station partners, and where the volunteers can fill out your child’s results on each screening. Once you visit each station, you will be entered for a chance to win a Family-Four Pack of tickets to the Aquarium of the Pacific!
