Jamboree Summer Opportunities at the Cube

Parenting OC returns to the Discovery Cube for its 13th anniversary of the Free Kids’ Summer Opportunities Jamboree event. The event will take place on March 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is the fourth year the iconic Orange County family destination has partnered with Parenting OC to host the summer-fun planning extravaganza. And it gets even better.
Make sure to enter your cute kid in Parenting OC’s Cute Kid Cover Contest. The contest will be taking place at the Jamboree event. Everyone who enters will receive a free event photo, which will enter your child in the Cute Kid Contest. All event photos will be sent digitally to all participants to their respective email addresses. There will be a keepsake photo available for purchase for an additional $20, which will not only be printed out and mailed directly to you but also emailed digitally. The electrifying Mickey’s Mix Magic show and an updated Mickey’s Soundsational Parade number among the highlights of Disneyland’s salute to Mickey and Minnie’s 90th anniversary. The Minnie’s Valentine Surprise scavenger hunt lets guests purchase a commemorative map and then search for the hidden Valentines that Minnie has left for Mickey.

The acclaimed Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia enchantingly transfers Eric Carle’s popular caterpillar tale and other stories, like The Mixed-Up Chameleon and Little Cloud, from the page to the stage in this lovely production. Doktor Kaboom had a conundrum—too many excellent science demonstrations to fit into one show. So, he built a giant spinning wheel labeled with his various on-stage experiments. But no matter what he ends up performing, the audience will experience an explosive performance. This show, geared for youngsters ages 8-12, begins at 2 pm.
