A Pumpkin Dance Party Extravaganza is at the center of Pumpkin Palooza II, returning to Discovery Cube OC in October.
Pumpkin Palooza is back by popular demand at Discovery Cube! The family-friendly melding of fall fun mixed with science, is an event full of activities and education for the Halloween season with something for everyone.
“Halloween is the perfect time of year to treat our members and guests to a hair-raising list of STEM-related activities,” said Discovery Cube CEO Joe Adams. “After last year’s smashing success of Pumpkin Palooza, we can’t wait to captivate our visitors with even more activities that are fun for the entire family.”
Pumpkin Palooza II runs select days Saturday, Oct. 7 through Tuesday, Oct. 31 at Discovery Cube Orange County in Santa Ana. The event offers two floors of fun, including an interactive dance party, trick or treating, bumper cars, a life-size corn maze, Pumpkinology 101 science demonstrations and so much more.
“At Discovery Cube, we embrace the opportunity to turn Halloween into a fun STEM-driven event by integrating each discipline into the holiday festivities,” said Adams. Pumpkinology 101 allows guests to learn and participate in demonstrations that include science, engineering and math disciplines.
Guests of Pumpkinology 101 can make glow-in-the-dark slime, learn about the size of pumpkins using “pi” and test their speed with a marble run race. The Pumpkin Palooza Dance Party is an interactive dance party including a 20-foot pumpkin DJ named Jack-o-Lynn spinning some popular dance hits. Crazy Mazes will let guests test their cognitive abilities as they make their way through the two challenges. And of course, no Halloween event would be complete without some trick-or-treating (taking place throughout Discovery Cube).
This year, Discovery Cube has also added a new Fall Midway Play Place to the festival area that will offer some carnival-style games.
“We’re excited to bring back Pumpkin Palooza to share a safe, indoor, engaging Halloween event with our guests,” said Adams. Space is limited so guests are encouraged to book their showtimes in advanced by visiting discoverycube.org.
