The Irvine-based electric automaker, Rivian, is not only transforming the way people drive vehiclesm but they also are transforming how people go car shipping. The Rivian South Coast Theater (160 South Coast Hwy., Laguna Beach) opned to the public in December. The word “theater” isn’t being used for dramatic purposes. The historic structure, known from 1935-2015 as the New Lynn Theater, was given loving multi-year, site-sensitive resoration by Rivian that created a one-of–kind environment to showcase its innovative vehicles as well as being a gathering locale for community events.
