The Arden (the house and gardens of the fabled 19th century actress Helena Modjeska) is one
of the rare National Historic Landmarks in Orange County. On May 17, there will be an equally
rare open house of the building and grounds, featuring Shakespearean performances by the
Modjeska Shakespeare Players, live music, and docent-led tours. Open Houses happen from
