DESCRIPTION:Manhattan Beach launches the holiday season by lighting up its 
 pier. Occurring November 19\, the free event starts with music and other f
 amily-friendly activities at several downtown locations: Metlox Fountain P
 laza (5 pm-9 pm)\, Highland Avenue and Manhattan Avenue (both 6 pm-9 pm). 
 Meanwhile\, music from two local schools’ choirs will precede the sparkl
 ing Pier lighting at 7 pm. Bring an unwrapped toy to donate to the Beach C
