Families are invited to the Bowers Museum on September 17 to celebrate Persian and ancient Zoroastrian cultures. This free outdoor family festival (held from 11 am-3 pm) honors the end of the harvest and beginning of Winter, along with saluting Mithra, the god of light, friendship, and love. The day’s events feature art projects (including crown and puppet making), face painting, lovely music and dance performances, and a free sampling of a Persian food treat.
