Festival of the Kite 

This spring tradition returns to the Redondo Beach Pier for the 51st year. On March 9, the skies over Redondo Beach will be populated with a plethora of colorful kites. However, there’s more to this free festival than the fun of kite flying (and perhaps winning a prize). The afternoon (12 pm-5 pm) also offers live music and dance performances, a Taekwondo demonstration, a Hot Dog on a Stick Eating Contest, giveaways, and more amusements.
