The Blue “battle” the Gray again in Huntington Beach’s Central Park August 31 and September 1 – but fear not, it’s just pretend! Attendees can explore army camps, meet historic people (such as Abraham Lincoln, Robert E. Lee, and Ulysses Grant, watch weapon demonstrations, hear period political speeches like the Gettysburg’s Address, and experience battle reenactments. The Civil War Days occur 10 am-6:30 pm Saturday and 9:30 am-3 pm Sunday. A full schedule is available online.
