May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month and the Pretend City honors this celebration with a special day on May 4. Children can explore the history and traditions of Asians and Pacific Islanders in America through a collection of stories. They can also find out about these cultures through such activities as themed explorations featuring weaving and wood carving, and a hands-on art project involving rainbow mini notes
