Spectrum Sailing conducts free 3-day sailing camps designed specifically for children on the spectrum. Each camp is separated into a morning and afternoon session, so parents can request the time that is more convenient for them. Each session involves a short classroom lesson (weather, tying knots, parts of the boat), followed by sailing in Newport Harbor. The kids will be divided into small groups of 3-4 per boat, with two trained adults on each boat. Children between ages 10-17 are eligible, and if we have more applicants than spots, we will select using a lottery and notify parents within the next few weeks. Camp is free for all participants.
