Kids are back to school, life has resumed a sense of normalcy and now we’re jumping into the holiday season. Often in the center of all the hustle-and-bustle are moms.
And while managing all the comings and goings of the house, many moms are also responsible for a workforce. Our November Moms at Work issue spotlights some of these mompreneurs who take multitasking to new levels, juggling a business, family and all of the responsibilities in between.
For our Moms at Work feature, we profile five moms and also include 10 mini-profiles to share all their challenges, successes and advice. It’s an inspirational package you won’t want to miss.
Along the inspirational lines, our Local Hero this month is 14-year-old Myles McBride, who has found a passion in the unique sport of pickleball. But it doesn’t end there. He’s also found a way to take this passion and share it with his peers.
In other topics, this month we also focus on something that has become a pressing issue for many: mental health. Our Mindfulness section details how the practice of mindfulness can be helpful for childhood anxiety. While Family Wellness covers three common mistakes parents can make in regards to adolescent mental health and how they can fix them. Meanwhile Ask the Expert helps answer a relevant question for this time of year: Does my child have eczema?
You’ll also want to check out Openings, which features new restaurants, a spa and some unique locations.
As we continue into November — the month we say thanks — remember to be grateful for the moms in your lives who make juggling a thousand things a day look easy.
