FACEBOOK FAN OF THE MONTH
Allison Almond, of Fullerton
Daughter: Ava, 12

What is your favorite stay-at-home activity to do with your child?
“We’ve made keto ‘quarantine’ coffee and it’s a hit! We’ve also got so many face mask samples, so every couple of days we’ll do a face or charcoal mask. We’ve certainly gotten closer during this time.”

What are some of your parenting words of advice to offer our readers during this challenging time?
“Don’t feel the need to fill up the day with productivity. Don’t feel pressure to clean out every drawer in your house, or knit a blanket in four hours. Take a lot of breaks and set smaller goals. Clean out your drawers, one room at a time, or knit a blanket while you sit outside and watch the birds.”

Stay Home, Stay Safe
“Decided to grab some Hot Wheels tracks to keep these two hooligans occupied with some quality #stayhome kids activities. Turning a page today to let go and be more present and carpe diem!”

“You’ve heard of love languages? The pandemic is teaching me the kids’ ‘stress languages.’ One does projects, one naps, one cries, one gets grumpy, one gets spacey, one gets rage-y, and one wants to eat food. All. Day. Long. #ParentingInAPandemic“
