There is an amazing teacher that can be found in a school not far from here. She makes her classes magical! Her name is Miss Danielle Allison. She is an excellent human being and a totally amazing teacher. She teaches First grade. How I wish that all first graders could take her class. They will always remember her, forever, I really mean it. My son said of Miss Allison that “everyday we have a fun day” All of her first graders respond so well to 2nd grade and beyond, in life. What they learn in her class is such a strong foundation that learning is fun, approachable and prepares them with the attitude that they can do it! Yes they can! As I sit here thinking of dear Miss Allison, next to me is a souvenir that she prepares for all her students with a key chain holding the QR code to a link to a video that she prepared for her students. Each of them is in her heart. She holds each one dear. One has to meet her to get to know how amazing, giving, generous, fun, she is. I describe her as an UNFORGETTABLE, SPECIAL, LOVING, CARING, INNOVATING, INGENIOUS, DELIGHTFUL, COURTEOUS, AND FUN TEACHER!!! Truly worthy of The Best OC Teacher’s Award.

Mr.Samarin should be nominated teacher of the year because he always cares for his students making sure they have a good education and giving them the help they need. Even though he’s tough, he will always help you along the way to reach your goal. I don’t have much to say but hopefully this is enough.

    Hello Everyone,

This is a combined reply to Phoebe and Thana, as well as a general note for the Top Teacher Nominations. We greatly appreciate everyone’s enthusiasm and desire to nominate noteworthy teachers throughout Orange County, but I want to make sure that if you do wish to nominate them, be sure to submit them by clicking either the “Parenting & Student Nomination Form” OR “Principal & Administrator Nomination Form”. Unfortunately nominations in the comment section here will not be entered since we would be missing a number of different pieces of information that is necessary for nominations.

With that being said, everyone is free to talk about their favorite teachers here, but be sure to submit your official nomination through the links above! Thank you everyone!

I nominate May Si, the principal of L’Heritage Francais, who also co-teaches 5th and 6th graders. She eats, breathes, lives the school, which is why the students thrive and the teachers and parents work together so harmoniously and effectively under her leadership. She and Madame LaPorte (who is the school administrator and one of the founding members) make a great team!

Ms. Elliott inspires kids to grow, apply and creatively integrate what they learn. My daughter is not a big fan of writing but her skills have progressed wonderfully through interesting class projects such as family totem poles and “make an app the buffalo hunters would have used”. She brings the class families together as a community through inviting them to “Donuts with Dad” and “Muffins with Mom”- days during which kids teach their guardians about fun STEM and seasonal projects. She encourages students to think beyond their community by setting up a pen pal letter exchange with students from another county. Soon we’ll be celebrating the many different countries’ traditions our class’s families have at the fall feast.
On top of fun and new ideas, she sticks with tried and true tricks, such as daily homework.
    Thank you Ms Elliott!
