According to today’s jargon, a “boss lady” is a woman who is authoritative in the workplace, in total control of her life and who can accomplish any task while still looking beautiful — a description that fits each and every one of our five 2013 Mompreneurs: Traci Arntsen of Voluspa; Alicia Whitney from SeaLegs Wine Bar; Christa Duggan from Portola; Jackie Dalton from Lollipop; and Amber Trevaskis-Bloomer from NineLittleMonths.com.
Part business savvy, part maternal and part superhuman strength, each of these mompreneurs has the ingredients to a successful life. Though each mom has had — and continues to have — her own struggles and challenges when it comes to raising a family and a business at the same time, it’s her ability to overcome them and move forward with a dream, a plan and a family that has helped her to come out on top. While many women believe that you have to choose between an amazing career and an amazing family to have a successful life, these five OC moms are proving naysayers wrong, and inspiring future generations in the process.
