When school ends the science adventure begins as we travel beyond the classroom to explore during week-long, interactive camps! Young scientists, ages 5-12, will find themselves engaged in experiments, science challenges and outdoor activities that make them laugh, think and discover new concepts.
The Zoo and You at the Santa Ana Zoo – Ages 5-7
At the Zoo, meet live animals up-close, such as an armadillo and pancake tortoise. Learn about fur, feathers, and quills; make an edible bird nest; and more!
Zoo Camp at the Santa Ana Zoo – Ages 7-10
Explore careers at the Zoo by listening to heartbeats of live zoo residents, investigating animal designs and movement, and creating a scale-model of an animal enclosure.
Summer Smiles at the San Joaquin Marsh – Ages 5-7
Take a walk on the wild side while exploring the plants and animals of Irvine’s San Joaquin Marsh. Make slime, create clouds, design your own bug, and much more!
Project Discovery at the San Joaquin Marsh – Ages 7-10
Visit Irvine’s San Joaquin Marsh. Investigate chemical reactions. Design, construct, test, and compete with a series of hand-made devices, like roller coasters and catapults.
Above and Beyond at Discovery Cube OC – Ages 7-10
Experience the ultimate interactive flight exhibit: “Above and Beyond!” to pilot a jet and fly like a bird. Search for clues and use forensic science techniques, and much more!
Summer Science at Discovery Cube OC – Ages 5-7
Explore the world of Doc McStuffins, an imaginative, interactive exhibit. Learn about teeth, flight, kaleidoscopes, and other topics that are woven into Doc’s adventures!
Ocean Science at Discovery Cube’s Ocean Quest – Ages 7-10
At Ocean Quest, tour the Bay on our education boat, explore the beach, and perform a crab catch while learning about the important role the ocean plays in our lives.
Technology and a Raspberry Pi at Discovery Cube OC and Discovery Cube’s Ocean Quest – Ages 10-12
Learn how computers work by utilizing the Raspberry Pi, investigating breadboards, and using Scratch to create and program interactive stories, games, and animations.

Don’t just rock, perform. Rock camps are everywhere nowadays, but most students leave camp wanting more. VTMA gives each performer the opportunity to go beyond a one-week jam session. Our musicians embark on a four-week journey that leaves them forever changed. Our Instrument Immersion and Music Performance camps give musicians the opportunity to truly develop their musical abilities. Ages 6-18, beginner to advanced.
