The Huntington Harbour Philharmonic Committee presents is 52nd anniversary celebration of Cruise of Lights December, 17-23. A 45-minute narrated boat tour through the sparkling waterways of Huntington Harbour. Come experience “the most spectacular holiday light show on water”! Bring the family and enjoy a beloved annual tradition. Proceeds will benefit music programs for all OC schools. Santa Claus is coming to town! Bring your little ones to share their holiday wish list, and get your annual Santa photos. Santa and his helpers will have special treats for the kids! Santa will be available at his Winter Wonderland, located in center court beginning November 20 through December 24, 2014.
American Pacific Ballet Company’s Nutcracker will charm young and old alike this holiday season. Choreography by Mignon Furman features lively children, scampering mice, a thrilling battle, magical transformations, a mysteriously “growing” Christmas tree, delicately falling snow, and beautiful dancers. Jeraldine Mendoza and Dylan Gutierrez of Joffrey Ballet (Chicago) will dance the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier. Brian Loftus, International Guest Educator from London, returns to perform the role of Drosselmeyer.

Discovery Cube OC is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating young minds, assisting teachers and increasing public understanding of science, math and technology through interactive exhibits and programs. It is a community-wide resource where families come together to learn and have fun and school districts can use as an educational resource. Currently under construction, Discovery Cube plans to add another 44,000 square feet of interactive exhibit space that is set to open in April 2015. The expansion will feature new themed areas such as Mission Control, Healthy Living, and a new Discovery Pavilion which will host blockbuster and premiere traveling exhibits along with popular seasonal exhibits including Spooky Science and the Science of Gingerbread. Day Out With Thomas™ offers an opportunity for children and their grownups to take a 25 minute ride with Thomas the Tank Engine™ and to have their picture taken with Sir Topham Hatt™, the Superintendent of the Railroad. Every event includes Thomas & Friends™ storytelling, a viewing station for Thomas & Friends videos, temporary tattoos, and an Imagination Station. The activities on site at a Day Out With Thomas™ are for you and your children to enjoy for several hours or more. Please plan your arrival time accordingly. You should arrive no later than one hour prior to your scheduled departure.
