The Raise Foundation, O.C.’s Designated Child Abuse Prevention Council
The Raise Foundation is dedicated to preventing and stopping the cycle of child abuse and neglect in Orange County through education, advocacy, community collaboration, and comprehensive services for families and children. The nonprofit has staff in 7 Family Resource Centers (FRCs), provides a mobile FRC “Resources in Motion” (RIM) that goes into highly underserved neighborhoods to help at-risk families, and helps run four monthly food distributions and several basic needs drives. In addition to coordinating countywide awareness campaigns such as Kaitlyn’s Law and Blue Ribbon “Child Abuse Prevention” Month, the organization leads and serves on several task forces, and offers conferences and trainings for professionals and parents. In 1974, the Orange County Board of Supervisors designated the nonprofit as Orange County’s Child Abuse Prevention Council.
