PICK OF THE MONTH
HUCK FINN FISHING DERBY | August 12th

This low tech, old school morning of outdoor fun to share with kids combines one of the most beautiful stretches of OC beach with a little nod to literature for good measure. The best part is, organizers make it easy for first timers – bait will be provided, and a limited number of loaner rods will be available too.
Youngsters (ages 4-15) can have a “reel” fun time while casting for good luck in this fishingcontest. Prizes will be awarded for the biggest fish caught by kids in the various age divisions. Besides the fishing competition, the Derby will be have a Huck Finn and Becky Thatcher look-alike contest as well as face-painting. Registration is required to participate, and check-in starts at 8 am.
